The first phase of the center began in August 2023 and will continue until April 2024, during which (268) lens cleaning operations and (47) iris dilation operations were performed using Yag Laser devices, in addition to (282) pymetric visual field examinations.

Completion of arrangements to launch the second phase of the Nahda Center for Advanced Ophthalmology, which specializes in diagnosis and treatment services for retinal and vitreous diseases under the supervision of the consultant retinal and vitreous surgeon: Dr. Abd El-Baqi Mohamad Ahmed Ali.

By the grace of God, our medical team was able to perform the first retinal surgeries for a number of patients coming to the center from different states of Sudan, using the latest technology in ophthalmology and eye surgery in Sudan. and then to the medical team at the center, the engineers of WEMCO Company, and all the Nahda cadres who achieved this accomplishment in circumstances that can only be described as complex.

The success of the first DCR tear duct connection operation Thanks to God and His grace, the medical team of the Nahda Center for Advanced Ophthalmology performed the first tear duct connection operation for a 53-year-old patient under general anesthesia. It is the first operation of this type to be performed in the Nile River. The team included a group of Nahda cadres led by Dr. Al-Fadil Mohamad Osman Al-Sheikh, Consultant Ophthalmologist and Glaucoma Diseases and Dr.Tariq Mahjoub.
